An important issue in using digital systems for music creation is how to control the large variety of acoustic or musical parameters. Such systems usually have a large amount of controls (sliders, knows), either as actual hardware devices, or as virtual interaction widgets on the software operating interface. These interaction widges are hardly suited to transmit the intend of a performing artist into an intuitive interpretation of a music score.

We are working on novel hardware devices and paradigms for allowing a more direct interaction with music scores and digital music instruments.
